I don't have any experience purchasing laptops. So please suggest a brand that will last me at least 2 years and also it should be available outside the metros.
4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Essential - Multimedia and academic purposes. Lots of movies, tv series and presentations
Desirable but can do without - Gaming, but only if it is possible in this budget. My passion for gaming has reduced considerably
5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
Whatever is good for watching movies etc.
6) Anything else you would like to say?
I will likely be buying it in a smaller city like Haridwar/Roorkee, so availability is quite important.
Also, if you have time, please suggest a good 2.1 speaker in the 1-1.5k range.
