I am looking for new laptop. Currently using HP G6 2005AX from 2011 still working solid but due to recent heavy OS and applications its lacking back even after upgrading to SSD and 8GB RAM. I was considering Macbook pro M3 but i mostly use Microsoft apps like remote desktop, teams etc.

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
Upto 1L INR (Less is better)

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
  • Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Treading View charts, Simultaneously chrome tabs 20-25 (For 20-30min), Teams.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
Looking for Strong Processor and best battery life in budget

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Asus, HP, DELL (Any will do as long they have good service in tire2 city)

6) Anything else you would like to say?
  • 1. Metal body or similar but other than plastic. (Current HP is plastic and its hinges are broken even after light handling)
    2. 4 Cell Battery - Optional (As long as backup is good)
    3. No Touch Screen
    4. NO GPU - Optional (It will heat a lot...? )
  • 5. Purchase place : Online / Offline (Croma)
  • 6. No soldered RAM

Was 105k some time back, check locally if it can be had for 105k (+ CC offer extra).

RAM is soldered, 24GB is fine but 32GB would have been better.

This was 90-95k after card offers some time back. Bit slower CPU & not as efficient as that Ryzen but you get 32GB RAM (soldered).

Thank You i will look at Asus deal. What about Intel CPUs? They don't offer power and performance like AMD now a days?

I am having confusion to spend 1L on laptop against its durability? My old HP H6 from 2011 still working good which costed 33K

How is after-sales service in Ausus?

Intel is behind AMD for both performance & efficiency.

Not good, globally they are trying to rip off customers even if their RMA claim is genuine. But Asus makes good quality products.

In India, RMA exp is bad for everyone because of poor customer protection laws. Basically you can get unlucky with anyone.
