No netbook. otherwise anything portable.
3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

Only those brands that provide better customer support otherwise NO. If warranty is more than a year than it is preferred. Onsite warranty is also good choice.
4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
I already have a desktop but I want it as a portable multimedia need. But don't want to prefer Netbook or something having less than 14" screen. It should not lack in processing compared to my current desktop C2Duo E6550.
5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
Not sure. Anyone fitting my budget and not totally outdated.
6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)
Currently I am using the desktop with C2Duo E6550 processor. So don't want to go with speed below to it. Min processor should be C2Duo.
