I have my HP dv6 6140tx - Core i7 Laptop, whose motherboard need to be replaced. I inquired HP Service center they told it would cost me more tha Rs.18k.
I need to know a good service center in Chennai who can do the replacement at a reduced fare.

I will suggest you to go only with Authorized service center. The cost of 18k seems normal to me as they will replace your motherboard. Laptop's motherboard usually has soldered parts which also gets replaced that is why the higher cost. They also give some period of warranty for the repair/replaced parts. It's safer to go to authorize service center rather than to third parties
