Ready To Rule !!!
Hii friends !

I'll be buying my 1st laptop in a couple of months. (I know that I started off this thread quite early).

But, being a layman at these things, I thought to take the advise from you all.

As I'll be doing a B Tech course on Computer Science & Engineering, I'll be using languages such a C, C++ etc etc etc ...

My teacher told me to get a Mac Notebook as it's very good.
But one of my cousin told me that Mac does not support some of the languages like C & so I should stick with a Windows one !

I have no clue about it.
Please advice me as which laptop is more recommendable.

Thanks in advance !!

^^ It's a hoax that mac does not support languages like C.

Max OS X core is FreeBSD, which is entirely written on C.

You will not face any difficulty with programming on OS X.

But I would suggest you to get Windows lappy only. Coz mac's are overpriced as hell.

What's your budget and where you will get the laptop. Will get you a configuration that best suites your needs. :)

HP and Sony laptops does not have customization feature and Dell has always outperformed them.

In HP, this is what I get for 53k : *h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/in/en/ho/WF06a/1090709-1116637-1116665-1116665-1116665-81119315.html

Totally inferior when compared to Dell XPS. Sony is even more costly.

^ nah. Not as VFM as Dell.
Get a Dell XPS M1530. Or if you want a smaller form factor get a XPS m1330 for slightly more.
