What I am tending towards ?

HP Pavilion DV4-5008TX
HP Pavilion Dm4-w/o backlight(cant remember the model no. :oops: )

I am yet to see an Asus Laptop in action so i am a bit skeptic of them .
I live mumbai so if I could see an Asus it woould be helpful .

Have a look at Sony CB45, its a great laptop and costs around 51k.It has got a full HD display which no other laptop has in that price bracket

Since you've said that you're not much of a gamer, maybe Acer Timeline 4830 T will suit you. costs 35 k, 8 hours battery life, just pop in more ram and your good to go.

If you want better graphics, there's asus k 43sa series with a powerful gpu, but flipkart lists them as permanently discontinued, so not sure about availability.

edit: with asus out of the picture, sony cb45 as mentioned above is the other option with dedicated graphics.

@kbar .
I am not going to play games but I am going to use Graphic and Processor Intensive Softwares . I also checked the Asus K53SV i7.

The only sore points about the Asus are the touchpad keys are noisy and it uses HM65(not much difference but still....)

The sore point about HP dm4 is the graphic card is underpowered .

I wanted to check the HP dv4 before buying but no on has it on display.

Guys here is very good deal:
ASUS X53SC-SX525D, this model is not available anywhere else, the deal is valid only for 6days from now
