Laptop+Monitor+External Speaker = No Sound ?

Hi Guys,

Would like to know if anyone has an idea about this I have attached my Windows 7 Laptop to an External Monitor which does not have inbuilt speakers. I am using a AUX-In cable to connect my Laptop with an External Speaker that I have. So when I play any Video the Video plays on the Monitor but there is no sound coming out of the External Speakers. Can anyone tell me why ?

If you have connected with HDMI, You need to change default speakers from sound control panel to AUX or Headphones.
