Laptop heating issues :-(

Hello guys.
I just brought a new lappie (HP p0735 tx) the specs are as follows:
Intel core i7(4 th gen)
Nvidia geforce GT 840m(2 GB ddr3)
8 GB ram, 1 GB HDD
15.9 inch screen
Resolution 1366x768
The problem I'm having is that the temps are too high according to me.
In tomb raider (2013) on ultra, the GPU temp is around 68° and as for the processor, it's a whooping 78°. It's the same for black flag and thief too. So my question is-are these temps to high or they normal for a gaming laptop. Coz I'm a little bit worried. Thanks in advance.

At Ultra settings its bound to take good amount of resources so I guess your Temps are alright.

GPU temps are completely alright. CPU temps are high, but as you are using a laptop so all you can do is get a good Laptop cooler if you are very worried.

Depends on the usage pattern. As with you yeah its obvious with those resource hungry games.

Get a good laptop cooler then. Its not much hot these days but it will surely help you in summer.

my Asus stays at 96 degrees C (CPU & GPU @80) while playing BF4

My CPU remains much hotter than GPU

Around 90C on high performance mode and ultra preset in games for CPU

GPU remains much cooler at 80C almost

LOL getting worked up at 78 degrees. My laptop gets way hotter.
My i7 goes upto 85(used to go up till 105 which is Tmax when I used Arctic Silver V).
Also my GPU/s go up till 80(one of them used to reach 94 when I used Arctic Silver V).
