5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

-Quad core CPU with high speed i5 or i7-willing to spend to spend money on this

-Min. 8 GB ram DDR4

-Flexible on HDD

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Dell( have used 3 laptops so used to service quality but not a fan though.....)
b. Dislike:Acer, Toshiba,

6) Anything else you would like to say?
- Screen resolution ( 1080p (Full HD) )
I am looking for the best screen out there

-I mean I read a lot almost 5 hours of web browsing and then Coding as well.

- Need a good build quality as well full metal body is what my focus is on.

No graphics intensive tasks-No photo editing or video editing
No gaming.

- Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs)

- Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam) / Local / )


From my research i have come to
Lenovo Y510

Dell 15 7560

Please suggest some more or better.

Forget about a laptop. Assemble a desktop.
Indian market is plagued with dual core ULV i7s and 768p laptops in this budget

I was looking for a powerful laptop. Is there any way i could add a Quad core cpu to the above laptops.???

No because the CPU is soldered to the mobo. You could get a laptop with i5-7300HQ for 750$ easily in USA. Same thing will cost upwards of 80k here. Pure daylight robbery.

Considering the build and edge screen seems ok

The Other Quad core -Dell 7559 has a shitty build and a hq processor though.

Am I missing something here ???

How is MSI in terms of reliability ( I mean i don't want chips going kaput after some time), I dont have friends using MSI mostly Dell and lenovo and Apple so i dont know how durable laptops they make???

Both have m.2 slot for ssd.
I am using Asus T200 for the more than 1.5 year and haven't had issues with it. Don't know about MSI.
