3) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Movie watching and listening to music , 24x7 wifi downloading, laptop hardly shuts off, softwares .. no gaming , working on Word and pdf

i5 (3rd Gen or 4th Gen) + 4gb ram + <It would be ok if its without os> , ...

non glossy HD screen plus widescreen
good speakers
good battery backup


4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Lenovo Acer
b. Dislikeell (bad experience )

Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) / 900p / 1080p (Full HD) ) : FULL HD is preferable
Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) ) : on higher side if 5-7 good
Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam) / Local / Abroad (do mention the country) ) India , Online preferred , can go to shops if offline is suggested based in lucknow but can buy from Delhi

I am using Sony SR 520 G series purchased from USA(2.2 processor and 4gb ram 13 inches ) but relaized that i dont do so much processor intensive work now a days so no point of spedning money on that and also not interested in showof my brand name like apple or vaio just for the sake f it ..



My main purpose these days is browsing movies videos downloading and working on word etc

I dont play games so graphic card expr is not required.

please suggest

just an advice but if you are planning on keeping laptop on 24*7 then ditch i5 & go for i3 without graphics card & full HD screen.all your mentioned usages can be handled easily even by an i3 without a graphics card & just using integrated graphics.

Don't think you'll get FullHD at your budget... You won't even get 900p... 768p will have to do for you!!!

I had very bad ex with Dell.. on year cd driver motherboard everything gone

Never used Dell. You can go for Lenovo Essential G500 (59-382995) Laptop (3rd Gen Ci3/4 GB/500 GB.Win 8/2 GB Graph) since you like Lenovo .
