Ans: 44K Max


2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Ans: 13 or 14 inch, less than 1.9kg as I will be carrying almost everyday and travel occasionally.
Slim light weight easily portable.


3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Ans: Mainly Research, Data Entry, A bit of coding, Watching HD Movies..


4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Ans: Not at all.


5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
Ans: i3 or i5 with 4Gb Ram to be upgrade to 8Gb later.
Decent graphics if possible for HD movies and coding.
Storage is not an issue as I have 1Tb desktop and a portable 320Gb.


6) Anything else you would like to say?
Ans: If possible Touch screen for presentation purpose.
Battery back up (5 hrs or more)

I will be buying online (Flipkart,Amazon,Snapdeal) and have shortlisted some of these laptop from Snapdeal.

Pull out 1 TB HDD AND sell it.
Get a Samsung 750 Evo 250 GB and 4 GB DDR4 stick.

Price in brick and mortar store - 40k might get around 39 if you push.
SSD = + 5k eBay
4 GB/ 8 GB stick - 2k-3k
HDD sell = -3k to 4k

So finally a decent laptop for 45k
It's quite slim than HP/Dell counterparts
Plus small AC adapter
Asus after sales >>> Lenovo/hp

It's most vfm option

I believe that's a 15 inches and weight approx 2.4kgs. I have my eye on my third option that comes with i5,4Gb ram,500hdd,2gb card and cost 39,999.

It's quite light compared to my Y510p
So it will get the job done.
Second best bet is HP x360 if you are into ultraportable.
