Browsing internet, watching movie, ms-office works and little bit of gaming like FIFA 14


5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
3rd gen intel core i5(or higher), 750 gb hard disk(500 gb would be fine), 14 inch screen (768p) i think 900p is out of question at this price, 4gb ram, dvd drive, battery backup 3-4 hours for moderate use, 1gb graphics card


4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like:Sony
b. Dislike:None


6) Anything else you would like to say?
I would prefer Vaio laptops

Ur budget and specifications don't match fully but I picked these 2 with ur specs and budget in mind

Other brands, with some compromise: Note that I dont have idea about performance of the various GFX cards included, so review them...

1. With i5 4th Gen & Win 8 OS, but no Gfx card - Lenovo Essential G510 and HP Pavilion 14-n009TU
2. Will all requirements, but battery UPTO 3 hours (3rd gen i5, Win8, 1GB card) -Toshiba Satellite C850-X2110
3. All requirements, no OS, no info on battery - HP Pavilion 15-n004TX
4. Will all requirements, but battery UPTO 3 hours (3rd gen i5, no OS, 1GB card) - HP Pavilion G6-2303TX
5. Will all requirements, but no OS (3rd gen i5, 5 hrs battery, 1GB card) - Dell Inspiron 15 3521
6. Will all requirements (3rd gen i5, 6 hrs battery, 1GB card, Win8) - Samsung NP300E5C-S01IN
7. Will all requirements (3rd gen i5, 6 hrs battery, 1GB card, Win8) - HP 4540s ProBook slightly exceeds budget at 44k.

well check locally for Samsung NP370R5E-S05IN Laptop (3rd Gen Ci5/ 6GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2GB Graph)
you should get it around for that price. although there's no DVD drive but i haven't used mine for years now
