3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

1. Programming - C, C++ (Eclipse), Cuda and OpenMP support required.. MATLAB extensively used.

So from other threads, this is what I have gathered..

4. Acer Aspire E E5-574G

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like:
b. Dislike: My previous laptop Lenovo Z510 gave some battery problems, so will skip Lenovo this time..

6) Anything else you would like to say?

Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) )

In short: Intel + Nvidia Laptop under 45k, Full HD if possible. Would like to add 4GB Ram later..

Right.

In this thread you said Asus R558UR is available locally @ 40.9k.. Can you tell me where exactly?

Also BTW have you used it personally? How is the experience?

It was earlier available in flipkart for 41k.
I haven't used it personally but in general Asus laptops are good. They don't have good reputation in India as service centres are available in cities only (whereas Dell, lenovo might even have them in some towns)

Bought the Asus R558UR from FK, 'coz it was out of stock in local stores.

Will post my experience in a review sometime. Liked it so far.
