cheap. 2nd year warranty free. accidental damage protection (1st year). looks classy (against piano finish).
the W8 offer is on any and all Windows 7 based laptops. buy a 20k lappy and you can do the same on that one too.

Well AFAIK HP one overheats badly.
thats why i want acer one.

if you game with discrete graphics on, then yes it heats up badly. else no. some have said cooling pad solve the heating problem but i doubt it'll. well with acer one of the weak point has always been the build quality and so is the display. other than those should be fine. but do check if Acer heats up too. HP heats up cause of low fan speed and the cooling vents placed too close to palm rest.

My friend never complained about his ACER One 722 so expecting the same.

I would be playing BF3, Skyrim, Crysis 2 etc so HP stands bad chance.

Also nowhere i could see acer model overheating badly.

fan have to cool processor as well as GPU. acer, hp, Samsung have same config so they too "may" heatup. HP placed the vents at slightly odd position so one can feel it more easily than other laptops.

Well in that case, im sure acer one would be benefitted by cooling pad since it has more vents underside

@Sam.. purely from the gaming point of view, which among the 2 would you suggest? Coz i'm also planning to buy a laptop soon.. just waiting till diwali for some offers to come

Now that there is only a marginal difference in the prices of the 2 on fk, I am getting more inclined towards acer because of its looks. Is there any advantage in hp over acer esp. from the gaming perspective?

From gaming point both are same...


HP has a advantage of 2 yr warranty.


BTW for full time gaming you may consider increasing budget or getting a desktop.

both are available at reliance digital for 33990/- and on buying a laptop they are offering this printer/scanner/copier for 1999.

Also 0% emi and zero processing charges if you pay by hdfc credit card.

I have decided to buy the acer one coz i didn't like the position of arrow keys on the hp laptop. They wouldn't be comfortable for gaming.
