I have an Acer Travelmate 8104 WLMi laptop with Windows XP Professional SP2. Problem is that the files system is Fat32 preinstalled. Is there anyway that I can change the file system to NTFS without losing my data or reformating.
My config = Intel M760 processor, ATI X700 graphics with 128MB, 100 GB SATA,
Thanks

Its a breeze, Just go to the command prompt in XP (Start>Run>cmd)

CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs

It will ask for confirmation on the drive name, and other things. Follow the instructions. Your partition (c: assumed) will get converted to NTFS on next reboot. If you run the same for non OS partition, it will get converted to NTFS directly.

It wont be possible to reverse this process.

Yah, whatever sourabh told above is easy method to convert the drive, but still wanna tell u that u won't be able to share the contents of converted partition with other PC's on LAN having FAT32 OS and win 98.
