Laptop CPU reaching 80C temp ..help !!!!

Hi

I have Acer 5536 ..AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core QL-65. While paying COD5 World at war..CPU temp reaches 80C and lappu shuts down itself immediately..This has happened around 4-5 times ..:-?

I use USB Fan under laptop (costing 400/-) but still no help..I dloaded CPUIdle but option to cool AMD processors is disabled there

Please suggest me a best effective way to cool CPU during COD5 gameplay

That USB fan is a waste of money I guess :)) You should have bought a thermal compound instead and used it on you Processor.
Dust might have accumulated in your laptop's exhaust vents and fan. So just open up your laptop and clean it,that should do it :)) If you still feel it runs hotter then replace the processor thermal compound.
This is how its done in Dell inspiron.Donno about your laptop's internals. This Service manual should help,if you can't figure out how to open it.

If it still runs hot then your heat sink might have damaged.Don't worry cleaning should clear out your problem :)

I'm not an expert at selecting cooling stuff, you better ask forum member asigh for that info.
I prefer Tuniq TX2@ Rs.200 from prime abgb,heard a lot of good reviews for Tuniq TX-2.

^^thnx..one main prob..I am not able to open my laptop..can u suggest which screwdriver to buy and from where ???

The screwdrivers u bought have a long handle or not ? I bought some set from US for 1$ only but they have short handle thats y I cant dismantle lappy

Mine is the short handle one,but that should suffice for any lappy no?? Is your's that deep??
Then buy those models which have a long handle with same magnetic bits,That should work :)
I guess that short handle would work sumit, I remember opening my Uncle's Hp Laptop with my set.

I have tried with short handles but its too deep and damaging the nut bolts..So I think need to buy longer handle screwdriver

go search in your local hard ware stores that's the only place where you can find it alternatively you could go for the high end brands... also get a good thermal compound... for a permanent fix i suggest go to a tyre repair shop and get the pump and blow air into the place from where the air comes out... this should do the trick for about 1 week then get your lappy opened up clean heatsink etc. and apply thermal compund. get a artic silver 5 best thermal
