Laptop Backup

I have a compaq laptop with official windows 7 home premium installed from company. I haven't got any disks. I now want to format my laptop, but want to retain my os. How to do that. Data is of no use to me. I just want to get the original os. Please tell me how to do this...

download & run slictoolkit v3.2(right click & select run as administrator)

if it shows similar screen with red circled & green highlighted box same then it is very simple.

I think it will be easier to take a clone of C drive.

do you have sensitive company software on the C: drive?
ask your computer/it dept for help, in that case

Use Backup and Recovery Software from HP. Download it from HP website.

Note down your OS key using a software like this one,

Then install the same OS using some iso you can download from the net.
Activate using your original key, that you had backed up.

PS: i have never done this myself, but it should work.
