Keyboard malfunction: Intermittently,is it for Keyboard or Motherboard issues?

My keyboard has started to malfunction for the past two days.
Whenever I switch on the machine, everything runs normal, except the "keyboard".The keyboard shows no life at all.It seems the Keyboard loses the electrical signal from the motherboard,at the USB connector.
The mouse also functions normally, without any problem.

But after two or three subsequent reboots, the keyboard runs and functions NORMAL again.

Is it a Keyboard problem or a Motherboard issue?

Mouse + Keyboard for my system is ASHBLACK from Amkette.
Keyboard and Mouse are USB based(Connectors/ports).

Motherboard of my system: BIOSTAR TA785GE 128M

Do I need to replace the keyboard,or do I need to change the Motherboard?

Where is the problem,exactly?

check whether keyboard works differently using different usb ports(front & back).also check your keyboard at some other pc/laptop.

^^Checked it friend.
Even this problem occurs, when I am changing the position of keyboard USB connector to various USB ports;also whether connecting to the front ones(USB port) in my cabinet also.

if usb mouse is working fine with all usb ports then most likely problem is with keyboard/keyboard usb connector/usb cable.

Yeah! I also thought about that,as the mouse is working fine.
Still needed an expert advice to be sure about that.
Time to replace my keyboard as it seems.
Is, I-Ball Keyboard+Mouse a good choice?
My maximum budget is Rs.700/- not a single paise more.
How about keyboards+mouse from Circle?

frankly speaking these are not good brands & if you have to take risks then why not with known brands.if you only want keyboard then:
Dell USB 104 Quiet Key USB 2.0 Keyboard - Dell: Flipkart.com
Logitech K120 USB 2.0 Keyboard - Logitech: Flipkart.com

for good combo under/around 700:
Dell USB 104 Quiet Key USB 2.0 Keyboard - Dell: Flipkart.com
HP KZ251AA USB 2.0 Keyboard and Mouse Combo - HP: Flipkart.com

^^But,Friend whitestar, I had already purchased a Keyboard+Mouse combo from "Savera Marketing Agency Private Limited" at Rs.625/-

Manufacturer: IBall
Model: SUPERIO Multimedia Deskset.

Moreover the Amkette "ASHBLACK" keyboard is functioning NORMAL,only the issue is that the keyboard is rendered functional and normal after a subsequent reboot(!!!???).

Is it with any issues of the Motherboard itself?

All other components and mouse is working normally and fine.

when starting pc go into bios by using problem keyboard.if it works in bios but not in windows then it is some software issue else hardware issue.

^^@whitestar_999 my Friend, the after sales service of AMKETTE is quite outstanding. At least they have contacted me regarding the problem(which I had explained in on their site at customer care page) and suggested me to visit their Kolkata Service Centre(Luckily nearby our Office area!!!)
I can't RMA the product as the Keyboard was not registered(MY FAULT!!!),and MOST IMPORTANT THE 1-YR WARRANTY TIME PERIOD has expired.
Let me see how much it will cost for repairing!!!???

@whitestar_999 and other friends, the AMKETTE ASHBLACK Keyboard has been repaired at their service centre.

COST OF REPAIR + CHANGE OF USB CHORD/LINE : Rs.35/- onnnlllyyyy....

The staff members were very cordial and helpful in their approach.I had to sit there for 30~40 mins. because the Technical Guy (who repairs & tests) was having his Lunch.
The USB chord was the culprit with wire broken(link for power ) in different parts from inside...hence no signal/power was coming to it.Finally the Technical Guy changed with a new USB chord, and the Keyboard is O.K. now.
