Is upgrading necessary??

Is WEI really helpful in determining whether games will be running smoothly or not?
I have a HP Pavilion dv6 6155tx.
Core i5 2430M
4GB DDR3
Radeon HD6490M
750GB HDD
Do i need to upgrade the ram for a better gaming?

Not RAM but GPU might cause problems while gaming. you should have bought a laptop with better Gpu if there was gaming.planned for it

You cant upgrade a laptop much,You can only upgrade the Ram.But that wont increase gaming performance.

^ agreed, you are left out with a list of selected games that run fine on the device. after a period ,trying a newly released game is no use
