Is this idea ok?

I have a empty EverCool Dual 5.25 in. Drive Bay to Triple 3.5 in. HDD Cooling Box and a empty theory. As you can see, it can hold three 3.5 HDD. I hear inserting three 3.5 HDD leaves little to no airflow, so I hear putting a 2.5 HDD in the middle allows more airflow, but what if I put a WD Velociraptor WD1000DHTZ 1TB 3.5" SATA Hard Drive in the middle, between two 3.5 HDD. I'll probably get little to no airflow, but could WD Velociraptor's own heatsink dissipate or absorb surrounding HDD heat? Or will it just overheat the middle HDD?

heatsink only absorbs heat from the surface to which it is attached(in this case velociraptor) & rate of dissipation depends on cooling medium in contact(in this case, air).it also depends on your cabinet cooling fan configuration & ambient temps but i suggest dropping velociraptor & go with 2.5" ssd.

I see. Thanks, I think it'll work. I tested drives in EverCool Dual Drive Bay and got 5 temps down. The fan is much closer then my cabinets hot swappable fans. average temp 36 now is 30. I'll leave the SSD for the future. Too expensive for me.
