I use Windows XP professional SP 1. Recently two viruses "Msmedia.exe" and "syshost.exe" are repeatedly detected by my McAfee antivirus software whenever I use the internet. MsMedia.exe is reported as a New Malware/Trojan and syshost.exe as virus. The former could not be cleaned and is moved to another folder the latter could be deleted. This gets really annoying. Is there any way to remove these viruses.

first try to run ur antivirus and anti-spyware at boottime or in safe mode.
else use freeware 'ewido anti-malware'. download, install, update and scan ur pc.
also in future try to insatll sp2 or atlst all updates using autopatcher.

MSmedia.exe is Trojan W32.Tilebot-BC

U can always delete these files from a Linux partition!!
Install Mandriva Linux 2006 , boot into Linux , and
start deleting all the compressed files. I had Msmedia
in my system and I removed it this way. Remember
if you delete a Windows System file, your OS won't
boot!! You may need to reinstall Windows XP again
after doing the cleanup from Linux

Good luck
