Is there any show desktop method as in Mac

On a wide screen I am getting used to work with more ikons on the desktop & multiple size windows of atlesat 6-7 programs running togeather, is there a way that I click on the desktop & all the windows minimizes or hides & the desktop shows up same as it happens onthe mac.

I am aware of "show desktop" ikon in the left taskbar but on a 20 inch screen moving the mouse for that large distance is a pain.
