Is there an App to play downloaded videos at 2X+ speed 'directly from whatsapp window'?

I usually watch vids at 2X or 2X+ speed to save time but when I click on a vid from whastapp window, it opens at normal 1X speed. I know I can go to the downloaded video file & use some app to play at 2X speed, but it's a bit of hassle to do it every time, I want to directly play it from whatsapp window.

WhatsApp videos are played BY WhatsApp.

So unless you can find a modded WhatsApp apk that specifically supports this I don't think you will be able to play videos from WhatsApp faster. At least until WhatsApp officially add this feature.

Thanks a lot, Desmond I don't know you but looking at the quality of your posts, I think you must also be finding this quite frustrating?! SO much time wasted in a watching downloaded vids at 1X speed daily!!
ANy idea where I can find a modded WhatsApp apk which does that?
ANy other workarounds?? Like maybe some way for creating seperate folders for separate whatsapp groups in some way so that I can go to the folder & play it at 2X+ speed? I know it sounds hard

I know how you feel since I watch long Youtube videos at 1.5x or 2x speed. Unfortunately doing this from within Whatsapp is not possible.

A possible alternative could be to use VLC for Android (or some similar video player), browse to the folder where your videos are, sort by date descending and then play the video. The VLC app supports adjusting playback speed, so you should be able to watch at a faster speed. I haven't tried this but you could try and see if it works for you.
