Call recording is kind of legal grey area as in some countries it is illegal to record w/o notifying other person. No wonder many companies are removing it. Google officially removed the API used for call recording, hence it doesn't work on stock android devices. Realme modified android to not implement that change, likely. Samsung phones had it baked in back in India, not sur eif its still the case with Pie update. No call recording in Samsung phones in the US, at least for Pie.
Native video call was again removed by stock android long back, not many people use it I guess. If those two features are required, get a non-Pie phone to be safe & never update it to Pie.
