Is AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6100 > Core i5?

I am getting 3 months used FX 6100 around Rs 5500

Planning to upgrade my 2 years old Athlon X2 250 proccy.
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
Radeon HD 7700 Series (Gigabyte)

its not at all good as i5 better get FX 6300 and OC it.
Your motherboard is also problem atleast have to flash latest bios but not sure will it work.
Which graphic card you have, post your whole rig

Asus m5A97 r2.0 - 6k
^^ best if you can spend 13k

all i5 non-k around 11-14k, K series even.more costly. FX 6300 ~ 7.3 is the best BANG FOR BUCK Cpu among ALLL PROCESSOR.

Difference between Fx 6100 & Fx 6300?

Also I am getting used Fx 6100 @ Rs 5500

New Fx6300 would be above 7k

revision should be mentioned on box afaik.

why is chipset in that screenshot being shown as 780G + SB700 when *www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4028#ov mentions 760G + SB710 for all 3 revisions!

Nope, i3 3220 comes close to FX6300..
FX6100 is a crap when it comes to gaming.. Even in heavily optimised multi threaded games, it doesnt even manage to outperform i3s

FX 6300 is better only in OCing and mutithreaded performence and FEW more things but it is more futureproof so better stick with FX

FX 6100 local price is just 6k^ but no one is intrested so 2nd hand fx 6100 not worth at all @ 5.5k
