iPhone unlock

hey guys,
i am planning to buy an iphone,
have heard that if u buy iphone from US that is on contract basis which is for $200 and get it unlocked here,
so you can use it as your normal phone without any troubles ,
just the warranty and stuff is the issue (who cares about warranty wen you can get 4S for 10k )
is that sort of unlock really possible?

sorry to spoil your fun but if you buy it on contract you will have to pay the carrier the fixed amount per month whatever happens.
terminating the contract early will result in you paying a hell lot more than 40k there..
buy factory unlocked or contract free..
