Intenet connection is fluctuating

HEY FRNDS
THESE Days i m facing a strange problem

I HAVE MTNL DELHI BROADBAND CONNECTION 599
MY OWN ROUTER D-LINK DSL 2520-U

NOW THE PROBLEM IS THAT MY INTERNET CONNECTION IS FLUCTUATING CONTINUOUSLY FROM LAST 15 DAYS
IT WILL REMAIN FOR MAX 15 MINUTES THEN FLUCTUATES CONTINUOSLY

I COMPLAINED LOT OF TIME BUT NO RESPONSE.

WHEN I TURN OFF MY ROUTER FOR HALF AN HOUR AND TURN IT ON AGAIN THEN IT WILL RUN SMOOTHLY FOR 15MINUTES THEN SAME PROBLEM

MY NEIGHBOURHOOD FRIENDS CONNECTION IS RUNNING SMOOTHLY SO I THINK IT'S THE PROBLEM OF ROUTER

PLEASE HELP ME BECUASE I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT NETWORKING

I JUST TRIED TO GO AT 192.168.1.1 BUT I HAVE CHANGED MY PASSWORD 3 MONTHS BEFORE AND NOW NO IDEA ABOUT THAT

What‘s with an all capital writeup? We dont work for MTNL
That said your issue is most probably a line fault nothing much we can do.

If you forgot router password try to reset router. There is a small hole somewhere so that you can enter a safetypin like sharp thing.

The following info might be of help if you are still having the problem.

The splitter or the phone itself might be faulty which happened in my case. What the BSNL technician told me was that when the phone is faulty, it goes in an infinite loop or something of that sort. So try directly connecting without the splitter & the phone.

Another thing that happened was when my router's adapter was not working properly. IT was supplying power intermittently & at fluctuating voltage and my router keeps restarting by itself and would not work even when the power was on. A simple replacement by BSNL under warranty solved the issue.

Reset the router if you forgot the password but you should know your PPoE settings including username & password to fill them up again.

Try with a different router if you can, maybe your friend's.

whenever i hard reset my router it works fine for two to three hours and again the the same problem
please suggest a solution
