Neither,2600 is better as it is faster in games compared to 1600.Ryzen is also better for future upgrades in the long term plus you also get the capability to overclock if you decide to use it in future. You need at least core i5 to build a better gaming rig than ryzen 2600.

Then sir, Amd ryzen 2600 with a-320 chipset mobo with 8 gigs of ram would be enough ?
P.s (I need to pair it with 1050 2gb graphic card and no overclock.)

1050 is a weak card, for 1080p gaming minimum recommended is 1050Ti(even this will not be able to run all latest games at high/ultra setting). A320 mobo is not recommended at all especially for ryzen 1600/2600 & above, reason being these have poor power delivery design & will not be able to handle the processor power load for long duration resulting in overheating & processor throttling(plus more chances of mobo failure).

Actually 2600 is 4K INR costlier than 1600. Not good value there.

Well it does perform better enough than 1600 to justify that price tag.I know one can always overclock 1600 but seeing so many posts on reddit I have come to a conclusion that overclocking a 1st gen ryzen processor to match gaming performance of Ryzen 2nd gen(with its PBO/XFR/other enhancements) &/or intel is a path best left to those with technical know-how(aka those who rarely need to post asking for basic build suggestions).

No 2600 is overpriced in India by about ~2.3K INR
AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor (YD1600BBAEBOX) - PCPartPicker
AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor (YD2600BBAFBOX) - PCPartPicker
1600 - 145 USD
2600 - 165 USD

Buy Online | AMD RYZEN 5 1600 3.2 GHz Socket AM4 Processor with Wraith Spire 65W cooler | Price in India
Buy Online | AMD RYZEN 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz (3.9 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 Processor | Price in India
1600 - 11819 INR
2600 - 16050 INR

Just do the conversion and add 18% GST

May be so but then what's the alternative. If somebody specifically wanted gaming performance & everybody told him to get 1600 to save 2.3k & overclock later if he feels the need which he actually do after just few days & then finds out overclocking is not that easy(probably because he also got avg VRM mobo/avg psu/not daring to fiddle with bios settings/ram not playing nice....). He will then probably post something along the line of those "regret buying amd & should have gone with intel" post.

I compared the stock gaming performance for both CPUs and 1600 comes out top in VFM. But haven't compared i3 8100.

Strange, all the tech specs & reviews suggest 2600 should be better than 1600 as far as gaming is concerned.
I mean in terms of value. 2600 does come on top compared to 1600 in performance. And even in performance per dollar. But in performance per rupee 1600 comes on top.

Well then I think extra 2.3k is not that much, may be by cutting costs by avoiding those flashy cabinets & rgb it can be adjusted.

How much difference between the 1600 & 2600 then in terms of gaming performance ?
I don't care about rgb or flashy things I have everything apart from the cpu, mobo ram trio.

About 4% at 1080p and 0.6% at 4K

What exactly you have? I am asking because I am hoping you are not having those one of those corsair VS/coolermaster psu that are usually the most sold ones in Nehru Place.

I have Corsair cx430v2, Nvidia GeForce 1050 (2gb) version, cooler master 430 case. Just needed to add cpu, mobo and ram.

Then in terms of value the ryzen 1600 is better, 4% difference for ₹ 4k methinks it's manageable.
But sir, what's your opinion then ?

If you can wait then better wait for few more months as new ryzen processors are expected to launch by June/July & ram/ssd prices will also be down by quite a bit by that time.
