Inktomi slurp had been indexing my site for many days. It all started with just the home page hits in the begining followed by visiting my site levels deep daily I think thats called deep indexing. Now again slurp is spidering but a a couple of pages only.

On the other hand other bots hits 2 or 3 pages and the results are evident with a a couple of days.

Anyone knows how many days it takes for the deep indexing to be over? When will the results appear in the search.

PS: The first hits on the home page have already appeared in search but the other pages indexed arent showing up.

well to get your site indexed quickly..
give search engines what they want....

provide site map..make proper link building so that crawlers can follow the links and index the page...

dont put heavy images or flash which makes page load slow...

site map will be very helpful..

and as far as google is concerned...

if your site is new then google will scan it and put it into sandbox for sometime (may be 2-3 months or more than that) and after that it will slowly slowly display your pages in SERPs...

almost same kind of practice is followed by yahoo and msn too..
