thanks for the advice, pallav. i've read similar things about glut not being so flexible, so i'll try sdl now. also, i've installed dev-cpp and i think its really great to hve such a good ide/compiler for free!! i've given up borland for now - only the command line tools are free
and yes, i realized that about glut32.dll when i tried to run it on my cousin's pc 2 days ago. for those who r still searching for glut32.dll, heres a link...

unzip the file and copy glut32.dll to ur windows\system32 directory if u r running XP/2000 or windows\system if u r on win98. thats all u need to run the game. the other files are glut.h and glut32.lib. these r needed if u want to write ur own applications using glut. or if u want to compile my source code.
