The IDF has started & Intel has made some really shaking announsments

Pentium 4 name is dead, Pentium D, is for Daul core & the next big thing, also the Pentium 4 extreme edition will be called Pentium Extreme edition

NVIDIA is about to demonstrate their Nforce chipset for the intel plateform, it is one of the bext & most performing chipset for AMD, hope to see the same on Intel

Intel Dual core CPU are now under production by Intel, as stated by Craig Barret, some more info

Looks like Windows XP Pro X64 & Intel 6xx series with EMT64 is all set to take over 32 bit, however AMD will still benifit due to low heat output if not more performance

It makes very difficult for one to upgrade. I am tempted to go for a 955 chipset dual core cpu in may/june. So the amd 64 dream is flushed as of now and i will live with my p4 2.4 HT till then. I wonder where this spiral will end.

Intel naming system is really confusing

they use suffix like A, E and likes they also have processor numbering
