I Have a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and My Network Provider is Vodafone ... I Subscribed to the Data Pack of 500 MB for 15 Days .. I Switch on the Packet Data in my Mobile and When I Start Surfing .. It Says "Connection to the Server Lost" and all the apps which needed internet showed the same error as if there was no Packet Data Switched On .. It is Switched On .. And Sometimes I Have to retry and retry and retry and then starts to load slowly like a snail ..

Is There a Problem With My Handset ( It is Rooted ) or My Network Provider (Vodafone) ..

Plz Help Me .. .

Have you tried to clearing cache of internet browser ?

Or recently if you downloaded a appointment which is causing some issue. At time the service provider don't allow bandwidth hogging appointments to run on your mobile.

Trying switching off your mobile take out the sim card and re-install it after cleaning the sim with soft tissue paper, sometimes these things work.

If the above does not help then check if your sim is working okay in some other mobile with gprs function.

Last you can take assistance of Vodafone gprs technical expert thru there tollfree no.

I am having similar issue with my droid device. ISP is tata DoCoMo.
It connects to the packet data at startup and then after a period of in activity it disconnects. And never connects back.
Reboot is the only solution.

I think the problem is deep sleep so I am running an app to avoid deep sleep.
Seems to have fixed the problem. Give it a try.
