IDE problem

Guys,

I m lil bit confused. . . . will hdd & dvd rom work in single IDE cable?

My frnd has only one ide port in his motheboard.

Of course, I am using it in my desktop. But its HDD and DVD writer!

an IDE cable which got 2 ports, easy to find, sure one IDE cable for both will work

yes it will work...... set the HDD to Primary Master and DVD ROM to Primary Slave or u can set the HDD to Primary Slave and Primary DVD ROM to Master........its your choice
