I cant install Xp on a brand new Hp laptop???????????????????

hey guyz can anone help me please...

i bought a laptop of the foll config.
Intel Pentium Dual Core processor T2060 (1.6GHz)
• Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
• 1024MB DDR2 SDRAM
• 120GB hard drive

• 15.4" WXGA high-definition widescreen display (BrightView)

• 5-in-1 digital media card reader
• Remote, headphones
• ExpressCard/54 slot
• QuickPlay buttons
• HP Imprint finish
• One-year limited warranty

i hate vista n i want to install xp over it without losing the vista n other harddish data. I put on my xp cd n restarted my laptop.
i got the xp installation but an error occurred
it said that "the installation cannot continue as the PC required manufacturers based installation"???????????????
suggest me what to do now please guyz... i will b thankful!!!!!!!!!!!

buddy as the system came factory installed, so it is giving such message, why dont you find out from hp guys or other wise warranty may be affected.

I don't think Windows XP can be installed over Vista, Please corret me if I am wrong.

First Install XP then Vista in dual boot.
