Spec Sheet Comparo of the Ideos X3 and A60+

+'s for the Ideos X3
Slightly Better Camera (on paper)
Front Camera
Available on flipkart (which I would trust while making an online purchase).

+'s for the Lenovo A60+
Larger Screen
Larger battery
1 Ghz processor against the 600 Mhz one of the Ideos.

Which one do you recommend ? The lenovo looses out on a poorer camera rating and lacks a front cam , but has a bigger screeen and a faster processor and perhaps a better battery life. Besides, availability seems to be an issue, as I can see it only on ebay and homeshop18.
The intended user is a first time smart phone user. Shes slightly creeped out by the "indian" Brands, like Micromax or Karbonn, but opinion can be swayed. By me. If I am convinced about their reliability to begin with.

None of these. Increase budget to 8-10k and only then you'll find mobile worth considering. doesn't matter if the mobile is for you or someone else who have never used a smartphone before, cheap Android should be avoided cause of poor hardware.

symbian S40 is a featurephone platform and lacks a lot of apps. though build quality of Asha mobiles should be lot better than any other mobile at this price.

If you want to get Android, there is one mobile that falls under your budget without compromising on hardware: Karbonn A15.

buddy..it's better if u can raise ur budget..to run android os decently (not decent actually coz even gs3 lags but minimum requirements), one should consider phone having 512mb ram at least..

Thanks Sam.
Went ahead and ordered the Karbonn A15 for a nice discount from homeshop18 on Friday. Dunno when it will be delivered. Its my first order from homeshop18, and I dont know how reliable they are. Delivery time was said to be 6-7 Days.
