How To Install .jar Files

Hi everybody...
i have recently bought Nokia N73 ME and i have also downloaded many games from the internet in *.jar format.... well can u'll tell me that when i transfer these files to the mobile how do i install them??? please help me with this situation.. and also can u'll give me a good site wherein i can download some nice java games... i know some of the sites but still most of the games were not of my type... thanks for ur responses in advance...

If you have bluetooth then transfer the files to phone using it. when you receive it it will prompt you for install. The bluetooth is the best way according to me.


Have you tried app loader?? I donno if it works on jar files. But definitely works on sis files. Try it. See if it works.

hey how can i check whether or not a particular game is compatible with N73 or not... well on the website they just mentioned it as a Java game... are all java games compatible with n73... is there any way in which i can check whether or not the game is compatible withotut installing it on the phone??

I don't think so.

Install it. If it support it then it will run. If it is made for smaller screen resolution then it will run in a small screen and the remaining screen will be blank. And if it is not compatible then it won't run at all show you error. In that case close such apps and uninstall or delete them. Simple.

the screen resolution ll be adjusted...

Well pathik some good games and apps are still available in JAVA only. However Java to SIS converter is there.

java cant ever compare to symbian apps d games...
@ caje search google for 0s9.1 apps n games and u ll find many....
or goto the os9.1 section of wapain.net or ipmart-forum.com and download wt u want...

Well File exploreris a software that allows you to browse files on mob on PC. Much like PC Suite but more powerful. Search www.softpedia.com for it. And N73 runs on Symbian OS 9.1. So try finding games and apps based on that. It will work best on your mob, since it is made specially for your mob.


And Pathik. There are not much OS 9.1 stuff available at the moment. But its picking up. Lets see the scenario after six month or one year.

Ya. But outside Nokia stable you have to rely on JAVA apps only. And since I have never used Nokia in life and will never I try to find my apps in JAVA.
