When i did a System Health scan (conrol panel -->performane and maintainance-->advanced tools)

The Results gave warnings

a)System is experiencing excessive paging

b) Avg. Disk Queue Length : mean - 8, minimum-2, total-16

Move the page file from C drive to any other partition

now this is normal in case of low amount of RAM, as lot of real time application data has to be transfered between the virtual memory and physical memory depending on the apps priority
