1. Budget?
Under 10k. And please ignore the upcoming sales and its offer price.
2. Display type and size?
I see most are over 6", so that's about fine.
3. Dual sim?
Yes, dual Volte
4. Preferred choice of brand?
Not preferred but, eyeing Redmi or Poco as they are in the price band.
5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
I don't think mobile cameras in this budget would be great, so as best as possible in the budget is fine.
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS,Stock Android etc).
Android
7. Preferred connectivity options (Dual 4G,802.11AC/5Ghz(not 5g mobile network) wifi).
Again as best as it gets in this budget.
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
Generic phone use like calls, texts etc. Then social media, school related stuff including online meeting/conference, creating/viewing/editing word/excel/pdf kinda documents, will listen to music, watch social media/youtube videos and absolutely no gaming. Camera as best as possible in the budget. Overall, kinda of an allrounder.
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Leaning on Poco than Redmi as Poco have no or less ads in comparison. If Poco C3 (alternate option Redmi 9) suffice for the use case, don't want to spend more. The next in line is Poco M2 Reloaded (Redmi 9 Prime), specification wise almost exactly the same and priced same as of writing this post. I don't know if I should consider Poco M3 (Redmi 9 Power), one it's going over the budget and I don't know the perfomance is gonna be any different for the use case.
10. Any other info that you want to share.
All the models considered are 4+64GB variant.
User is about 50yrs old and currently using Redmi 9A base variant.
Require a lot of storage, since all the models considered are having dedicated memory slot, I guess we can get away with 64GB storage variants, no need of 128GB or more.
If there are any other model which would be better fit than the above models, please do suggest them.
