help:Samsung DVD drive made in indonesia

I had purchased one Samsung DVD drive made in indonesia in OCT'07 and the shop from which i purchased is closed now.

When i approched samsung service plaza, they told me they do not cater to Samsung DVD drive made in indonesia. What to do now??????

The problem with the unit it is not reading/writing CD/DVD. After inserting CD\DVD it is trying to read the disc, but a blank screen is displayed in windows explorer.

Whatever cd or DVD is inserted it is showing cd 640MB, free space 160MB.

Friends please help me out.

Just give it to a local service guy, mostly it's a lens fault and cleaning it might help upto some extent.

Someone adviced me that the logic card has gone kaput...

Which has gone bad? lens or logic card???????
