Hello,

I am planning to buy a Laptop and my budget is within 50, 000. Can anybody suggest a good Laptop for that price?

How about the Acer Aspire 5002 with AMD 64 Turion processor?

Also, is it possible to upgrade the Graphics card of the Laptop at a later date?

@QwertyManiac: Even if the laptop comes with an AGP slot, you need to find compatible graphics cards for it  which unlike desktop graphics cards, are not as easily available.

The only way to get a graphics card upgrade is to get it from the manufacturer *if they support it*

I think its a good bet!
...
Can you tell .. the full features of the Laptop they are offering!
Specially the clock speed.
but I am sure it will be definetly faster than Centrino!
Centrino 1.7Gz is comonly available .. 2.0 is still difficult to get in Indian Mkt.

I thought you would give the quotation that you may have taken from Acer..
better contact them .. get the exact detailed specification they will deliver to you.
Post them here
Then It will be better to compare the features with the Centrino

How is the SIS chipset?
Sis is not among the best of the chipset.. (not recomended)

I bought the Laptop for Rs 49,900. :D

My first impression of the laptop is pretty good.

The config is:

AMD Turion 64 - 1.6 Ghz, 256 MB DDR333 RAM, Pioneer DVD Dual Writer, Acer Crystalbrite 15.4" WXGA Display, 80 GB Hard disk, 802.11g WLAN, 3 USB Ports, AC 97 Audio, SIS 720 chipset with 64 MB shared memory

The chipset used is most probably SIS760GX and not 720. Check whether the 256Mb memory module is running at 333 Mhz. Have read that the default memory module runs at 266 Mhz. You can use CpuZ or Everest Home to check the same. If possible post the Full Sisoft Sandra Report.
