Indian Railways - The Vibrant and Moving INDIA
Hi all, after uninstalling Mageia-6 from my laptop, I had installed openSUSE -42.3(Leap) successfully.
I have three partitions FOR LINUX, openSUSE:--->

/
/home
swap

/home consists of various documents, videos, etc. in a separate partition of HDD.
/ also contains /home, partition and under it contains the folder say X
/home in separate partition contains folder Y
When I boot openSUSE, then a single /home contains both X and Y.
MY POINT IS CAN I MERGE X AND Y TO A DIFFERENT FOLDER SAY Z
If yes, how?
Both folders and whole of system is under ext4 file system.

@Desmond David, could you guide me brother?

Actually, /home residing in separate partition, consists of files created during Mageia Linux OS.
While installing openSUSE, I kept the /home partition untouched. Now a separate /home partition has been created within / partition in openSUSE.
But when I invoke /home partition, then there are two folders containing files.
One is folder X of default openSUSE and another is folder Y of /home partition of separate partition in HDD created during Mageia OS.
CAN I MERGE THE FOLDERS X AND Y INSIDE /home partition?

That was my question as given.

@kg11sgbg - Looks like TDF is not as active as it used to be. especially the Open Source section. I would really like to make OpenSource section active again though.

PS: Hope the issue that you had is fixed.

Issue has been fixed by copying(moving) contents of /home that has been created by Mageia onto the /home of openSUSE.
Later I deleted the contents of /home under Mageia.
