Hi to all

I have Sony erricson M600i. Really very satisfied with it except for software support for Symbian UIQ plateform. m planning to buy a new phone probably this sunday. I intend to go for full qwerty this time.

Requirements:

  • WIFI and GPS are must,
  • wish to go for OS platforms which have good software support (freewares),
  • Lots of net surfing (on opera mini / default browser if better than opera),
  • no slowing down even after installing 10-15 applications on phone,
  • Running several app like (my typical usage scenario :- msging, IM client (java based), opera mini, default browser) at a time and none of them shud get closed while in background due to memory shortage.
  • Decent multimedia support
  • crisp screen, the larger the better

Shortlisted phones are Blackberry Curve 8520 and Samsung Omnia Pro B7320
Do suggest phones in there competition
Budget 12- 14k.

trust me dude , the best you get in this segment of business phone comes from nokia. go in for e63 or e71. and if you can increase your budget then e72. reasons would be battery life. awesome connectivity, no hang ups, good enough display and nokia trust factor. rest is upto you. presently posting from a nokia e63. e63 does not have inbuilt gps, while e71 does have that. rest everything is good. camera is ok in day time on both, but crappy in night. i use my flash more as a torch than flash for camera

If you can increase the budget to 15.5k, E71 is a superb phone to get. If your company supports BIS, BB Curve 8520.
