Help me choose the bext gfx

Hi guyz,I have the following PC configuration.

P4 2.4 Ghz,Intel 845 Motherboard with an AGP 8x slot and 1 gb RAM and MX4000.

I have RS 10000 at my disposal for upgrading my PC to play games.What would you suggest.Which Gfx card?And if my MB supports it?

the best AGP card available is 7600GT... btw i wd suggest u to sell of ur existing pc and get a new one..

U said u have Rs 10k to upgrade, so why don't u sell ur current CPU and opt for a new Intel core 2 duo and a cheap 945 Mobo?

From selling ur PC's CPU, if u can get around Rs. 6-8K, then get a ASUS EN8600GT pci-express card which is DX10 compatible and far better than 7600GT.

since you already have 10k i suggest you get your self the ati x1950. it is available for around 9k(street price) here in delhi. This card was made to challenge the nvidia 7950. so u can imangine the power it has. Since you have a decent cpu config... this card will rock ur world.

ps- u'll have to get a new psu to feed this beast.

no man u'll have to get a 450 watt psu. a decent one will cost no more that 1.7k

Core 2 Duo 2.8 -$130

So I have 50 more dollars

I dont need to upgrade my HDD or RAm.So now I need a MB and a PSU[Mine is 450 watts]

And I still got my PC to sell.So what say.Whats the best course of action now?

dont use c2d with 945 mobo, choose amd dual core if u r low on budget

I dont know about this AGP and PCi,but a motherborad that supports one AGP card support all the AGP cards?
