Help me about Thunderbird,,,,,,,,,,,

hello ...
i have just installed T bird but unable to use it becoz always i am getting ,,,error messege,,and i e,,,,,
Connection to server pop3.yahoo.co. timeed out,,,

i am using ,,sygate firewall and trendmirco,,,
what kind of changes would u like to suggest me so that i will be able to use T bird,

Unless you have paid membership of yahoo account, you wont be able to access the email through email clients. You can try using software like YahooPOPs or ePrompter to be able to do this...

I got failure with ypops and eprompter,,,
But i would like to ask u,,,,,,,,,,,,
Now i got pop and smtp setting from yahoo,,and with the help of that i played with Tbird,,,,
Then i observed one thing,,i can GET mails,,from yahoo,,,with the help of Tbird but i couldnt sent any mail,,i am getting messege ,,,,,,,,,


error occured while sending mail,the mail server responded,,server authentication required,,,for help go to help yahoo ,pls verifyl u r mail adress and try again,,,,,,,,,

if its totally paid service then why i can get all mails from yahoo in tbird ,,,,yahoo should tell me,,its paid and not allowed u,,,,,

AFAIK, its for their premium version that you can download mail. I have heard that if you have yahoo.co.in instead of yahoo.com email ID, even free mail ID will have pop facility. I am not sure of this though...

Regarding sending mail, check the settings of your mail account. Under Outgoing server, there should be an option to set that the server needs authentication. Make sure that it is set to yes...

I think for yahoo.co. in ,,pop3 acess is free,,,,,,,,,,
first i opened my yahoo.co.in,,
then went to option,,,,
then under mail acess i opened,,pop acess and forwarding,,,
then i have seen thses lines,,,,
