please help me

i've a system with five partitions, win98 on C drive win xp pro sp2 on D: the problem is xp fails to startup, shows a blue screen error but i can't read it because it suddenly disappears. I scanned for virus in win 98 with mcafee, got one virus in f partition after delete it the problem persists. then i tried to format my drives but i can't, again error= "cannot format this drive" i've a ghost backup file in f drive, i tried to restore it by ghost but there's only cd drives and floppy shows in computer what happened to other partitions ??? win 98 works without any mistakes i can access all of the partition easily in win98.

i recently installed zone alarm security suite in xp, rebooted and started these problems. is the problem with zonealarm ???
how can i read blue error screen suddenly disappears??? i pressed pause/break key to read it but didn't succeed.

ignore mistakes in my English

help me soon

if u dont have any important data .. i would suggest re-partitioning the entire disk .. take backups if needed then use DiskWizard or fdisk to re-partition .. if you have data then re-create the D partition alone and try installing WinXP .. and run WinXp setup from DOS not from Win98 ..

To run winXp setup from Dos, load into DOS and run the file winnt.exe under i386 folder of WinXp CD .. before running this run smartdrv.exe from win98 folder of win98 cd ..

can anybody diagnose the cause of this problem?
i've a lot of mp3's larger than 35 gb alone.
to install win 98 & win xp sp2 with all the drivers needed again it'll take a long time. so i created ghost image in f drive earlier ie intact there. i can't get a spare hard drive from anysource my hdd is 60 gb. if use partition magic and resize c and d only, will the problem be solved ?
how do i repair win xp using repair wizard ? i'm not so familiar with commands.

or any other softwares ?

the problem fixed
firstly i uninstalled norton goback from win 98
then rebooted, could entered safe mode in win xp
i doubt problem began soon after the installation of ZoneAlarm Security Suite v5.5.094.000 so uninstalled it from safe mode.
so now everything is all right.
