1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming and Photoshop. Playing Games like BF4, COD Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, Watch_Dogs, Witcher 3 WH, Dragon Age Series, NFS & Tomb Raider.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 1.5 Lakhs (Can Stretch)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2Tb is must

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. 1440p if budget permits orelse 1080p will suffice.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: ASAP

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes. I myself will assemble this

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Online

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I want to build a gaming pc which I always bragged about. I was thinking of I7 4930k & Gtx 780ti/R9 290x combo but I can always change my priorities.

I want this pc to run the games on all cranked up settings on 1440p :)

Thanks in Advance :)

I will suggest you to wait for the haswell refresh processors and z97 motherboards to hit the Indian Market. The Grand Canyon haswell refresh processor namely the i7 4790K is rumoured to have solder/high quality TIM between the die and IHS and thus is expected to be a very good overclocker while staying cool.

For the gpu I would suggest going with an aftermarket AMD R9 290 on the AMD side or GTX 780 on the Nvidia side.I myself own the GTX 780TI and believe it is not a great value for the money card, so I did not recommend it.Though if you want to go for the best you can get the 780ti.

Coming to the monitor, Asus PB278Q is a very good 1440p monitor available for around 38k.You can go with this.

Going with a 4930k/x79 system will take a good chunk of your budget and you will have to comprimise on other hardware components. Also if your aim is mainly gaming and light photoshop/video editing, then an i7 4790k will easily be able to handle it.

So I would advice you to be a little patient and wait for the 4790k to come to India, check out it's reviews and then decide whether you want to go for it or not.The other components can then be recommended.

Trust me, you seriously wouldn't want to play on a 60hz monitor when you're spending 1.5lakhs
EDIT : I say wait for PG278Q to arrive. Totally worth it

Don't buy G500 at all. Its sensor has acceleration which will severely affect the muscle memory.

Have a look at this - *shootersmania.blogspot.in/2013/12/mouse-recommendation-mouse-test-software.html

Also, as I mentioned earlier wait for PG278Q to arrive but if you can't wait, I'll suggest you to go with BenQ XL2720Z instead of VG278HE

i dont know, i think people "research" too much on the internet. and everyone is an expert in everything. they throw in a few technical terms, and voila! :D

i think the G500 is a great mouse. a few tweaks here and there, a bit of weight balancing, and you have a killing mouse with it. the only thing to worry with it is, its a large mouse, meant for Large Palm grip gamers. Build quality is top notch. use it on a proper gaming mouse pad.

Compare it with mouses having a "perfect" sensor (3090/3095 etc) like G400, DA, Alcor etc and you'll know what I'm talking about.
And all those technical terms are really important believe it or not.

Btw do you play CS ?

Buying peripherals to one's one choice, purpose and convenience cant be scaled against products which are equally good.
G500 is a superb mouse, also is G400 and DA, even my Razer Aby is a great mouse, simply because it suits me well and the others don't, that doesn't make them "a mouse with worse sensors"There will always be better and best and blah blah... a mouse with huge neg accel or positive accel may screw you up, but usually it doesn't make much of a difference as long as it's the MOUSE's accel and not the program's. it's about the mouse OP sees most fit not which other people praise.

Steam communities has discussed DA,Sensei, G500 over and over as best mice for CS.

you use only the sensor, or the mouse with the sensor inside it?

Selecting the sensor is one of the steps of choosing the best mouse of yourself. I'm so focused on sensor right now because we are talking about it not because it is the only thing in mouse I care about.

I will suggest you to read up G500's sensor (and sensors in general) and understand why I am against it. There are better mouse available at this range
