Headphones between 50-100$.

Hi Guys Need some suggestion on this one.

I have a ad700 and it lacks bass to some extent, so i was thinking of getting a good tight punchy bass headphones from US . The budget is specified in title i.e 50-100$. (if 50$ headphone performs even 90 percent of te 80 dollar one you can suggest me the 50 $ one ).

I have zeroed in upon these two headphones Sennheiser HD280 Pro and Sennheiser HD 448.

The pro series are monitoring headphones which are supposed to produce the notes as in song so i dont need analytical headphones dey should be fun sounding as well.

Please pour in your valuable suggestions.

Usually Bollywood (the new movie releases and few old favs) , then i listen to little of english rock , very very few metal , and hip-hop.

well if you are rock fan look for no other than the Grados,its got fantastic clarity,tight on bass but if u are a basshead look elsewhere like the ATH M35/50

Hmm have yoy heard the HD 202 , how much would you say the bass on Grados are compared to that.

HD202 are flat sounding headphones(decent bass but not deep)..

i actually own the hd202 and as megamind said the bass is airy doesn have the punch but after all i bought them for 1.5k but on the other hand the grados have a tight bass and the clarity is outstanding,if u listen to a lot of rock go for it u'll absolutely love it

Hmm....Tight bass as in you can feel the bass ?? because in AD700 the bass is totally absent or very minimal , they cite open headphones reason for low bass so i am just confused what you mean by tight bass , does it have adequate bass to make songs like Boom Boom Pow by black eyed peas fun ??

yes but not too much like the bass that u get from ur speakers when the bass is set to 50% or more or else if u want headphones that has a greater bass and doesn have the clarity of the grados

tight is kick-drum

fat is like when you press on an organ pedal of a 32 foot pipe and this huge 16hz wave reverberates through a cathedral size church go for ATH M50 if u want bass and less of clartiy by less by no means they are bad

Will buying grados sr60i make any big difference to me ?? since i already own a pair of open cans AD700. If yes then i will for SR60i eyes closed.
