half life 2 on celeron 2.4

I have a celeron 2.4 ghz with intel original motherboard with 845 chip set(not sure about the chip set) with onboard display 512 mb ram ac 97 onboard sound , 80 gb hard disk. Will half life 2 run smoothly on my machine.

No way HL2 can run smoothely on ur system As onboard display may run it, but surely with a lot of glitches.U try to change the display settings it will just crash to the desktop.

If you have 512 RAM, your processor and graphics card are not 'Smart' enough to run the game. Even, if you can run the game, then also you will have a lot of glitches. So, I suggest you should have atleast P4 2.4 GHz or AMD 2600+ processor; as well as GeForce 5200 or equivalent or higher graphics card to run and play smoothly. 8)

HL2 ran fine with the 865 graphics accelerator .... hope it does with the 845 too .... at uber low settings ofcourse ....
