What is your requirement, if it is gaming then you will need to think again, not all TFTs are good for gaming and your budget will become a major factor.

If you want to buy starting level TFTs then you will get 17" sub 20k, to be more precise close to 12k(not sure), or maybe 13-14k to 17-18k

Keep in mind that to stick to the native res of even a 17" monitor, I think you will need to upgrade to a high end card atleast once a yr.
Hi end: 25-30k or more.

Look out for the Viewsonic TFT widescreen and 19" models.
They have good response times varying from 2 to 4ms!

bad quality monitor with low ms may cause trails.

But I think the more ms (response time), the more ghosting. ie., the lower response time (in ms) the better.

for Samsung 940BW no DVI IN only D-sub. try benq products has both DVI and D-sub *www.benq.co.in/products/LCD/?product=618&page=specifications
