Gtx 970 or R9 290x

I am buying a new PC on 4th april and I am confused due to new DirectX 12 benchmarks coming out stating Amd graphics cards are doing great in DirectX 12. Which graphics card should I choose R9 290x tri-x OC for 28k or Gigabyte gtx 970 windforce edition for 27k?

In terms of raw power r9 slightly better. But its already 3 yrs old and consumes more power. Hence between the two go for gtx. R9 290x will go into end of life after few yrs but gtx will not.
I personally chose r9 390 over gtx and r9 290x. It was 30k

The problem with r9 390 is that I am unable to find it in lamington road. All sellers reply they dont have it.

If thats the case contact supertron india ltd.. They are sapphire distributers. They will help u locate their nearest reseller. And their price are quite reasonable. If still u fail go for gtx. But 390 is better deal if possible
